Monte Hewett to Judge Project Playhouse 2008

By DinaG | August 13, 2008

Monte Hewett  should know what it takes to build a spectacular children’s playhouse… His “FishCamp” entry into HomeAid Atlanta’s very first Project Playhouse charity event sold at auction for $36,000! This time around, Monte will be donating his time and expertise to help judge the fifth annual event. The fundraiser showcases child-sized dream homes by some of Atlanta’s top builders in support of HomeAid Atlanta’s efforts to provide transitional housing for Atlanta’s homeless families and individuals and is HomeAid’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

His inspiration for the FishCamp playhouse came from weekend fishing trips with his son. (It was recetnly featured in the 8/9/08 edition of the AJC along with it’s happy owners.) In addition to raising top funds, it also received the Imagination Award that year, recognizing it as the most creative among the entries. Monte Hewett Homes still serves as a sponsor of HomeAid Atlanta and its programs.

This year’s Project Playhouse™ will open on September 13, 2008, at the Playhouse Village located in valet parking at Lenox Square. The public may tour four extraordinary playhouses designed and built by some of Atlanta’s premier architects and home builders. The Village will be open on weekends from September 13 to October 4th. These playhouses will be fully furnished and decorated by professional interior designers and exhibit the utmost quality craftsmanship. They are amazing and something that ANY child would dream of having in their backyard. One house will be raffled off, while the others will be sold at a live auction. All proceeds support HomeAid Atlanta’s mission of building trasitional housing for the temporarily homeless.  Monte Hewett is proud to be involved once again in an event close to Monte’s heart.

A new home builder from $290’s to 1.5million | Monte Hewett Homes

By RobertKohl | July 24, 2008

You may not realize that almost anyone can own a Monte Hewett Home, regardless of price constraints.

While Monte Hewett has been known as an upscale builder in Atlanta since 1988, many people forget that the same care and attention to detail used to build the million dollar homes in Hillside at Chastain also goes into the homes and townhomes priced in the $300s. Examples of this are about to start at Heatherton in Roswell, West Village in Smyrna and Hays Farm in west Marietta!.

“One way to be sure that the same great quality can be found in all of our homes is that the exact same flooring and HVAC contractors and painting crews work across the board at Monte Hewett,” says Jim Basham, Area Manager.  “Every homeowner can expect the same care and attention, even when priced in the $300s,” he continues.  Monte’s newest projects include new 2-story townhomes at West Village starting as low as $319,900.  The serene landscape at Heatherton in Roswell now offers townhomes starting as low as $329,900 with new floorplans and specifications available on the MHH website.  But the great pricing is not just on townhomes! Hays Farm, next to Kennesaw National Battlefield Park, is also offering presale of new home plans starting in the high $300s on half acre homesites.

“People’s budgets are stretched right now,” explains Monte Hewett. “We recognize the issues with the ecomony, but for those who still need a place to live, renting is just not the answer.  We build the quality homes people desire. Our buyers know they are getting a good value.”

Monte Hewett goes on to explain though, it’s still a Monte Hewett Home; and thus, you will still get things other builders leave out homes in the 300’s.  You can visibily see the Monte Hewett Difference.  “We still make sure we are proud to put our name on these homes,” explains Hewett.

Visit the Monte Hewett Website today to see these projects and be sure to add yourself to the premier buyer’s list to get up-to-the-mintue details on all of our Atlanta-area communities. One might be perfect for you.
