Monte Hewett Homes is a proud sponsor of HomeAid Atlanta, an organization that builds transitional housing for the temporarily homeless. From October 20 through November 20, MHH is offering several of
our model homes
as drop off sites for HomeAid Atlanta’s Essentials
for Young Lives Drive. The seventh annual drive
collects necessities for homeless babies and toddlers
living in transitional housing shelters around Atlanta
And we need YOUR help and your generous donations! (See the flyer below.)
Items Needed: unopened packages of baby food, powder formula, diapers, baby
wipes, bottles, bottle brushes, and sippy cups
Items may be
dropped off at the model homes in these MHH
communities: Heatherton (Roswell), West Village
(Smyrna), Stonehaven at Vinings (Vinings) and the Park
at East Paces (Buckhead). Visit our Driving
Directions page for more information on these
communities. The Essentials Drive coincides with National
Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week, November 12-19, 2008,
but items may be dropped off at our model homes between October 20, and
November 20, 2008.
HomeAid Atlanta’s fall drive focuses
on providing for young children because women with
children are the fastest growing segment of the homeless
population. The group reports the average age of a
homeless person as nine years old. Additional drop off locations are
listed at
